#ChooseToStart living your Dreams

“Everyone dies... However, not everyone lives”

Manisha, a small town girl, was born and brought in a middle class family. She grew up to be a smart educated girl. But being from a small town, she got little exposure to bring out the talent she possessed. At the age of 19, she was married to a rich businessman, who too resided in another small town.

Being a well-educated talented female, Manisha had lots of dreams, she was very creative and she had that zeal to live her dreams. However, she got tied to a small town as a homemaker with very little to no exposure to the outer world. Now, she is 52 with two kids, both kids are now married and happily settled.

Years passed by, but the inner Manisha still has those dreams…

·         Dreams to see the world
·         Dreams to stay connected to her buddies from her school and hometown
·         Dreams to publish her delicious recipes
·         Dream to know what’s happening in and around the globe
·         Dream to publish her poems
·         Dream to learn the fashion designing
·         Dream to dance to her tune of music
·         Dream to record her sound
·         Dream to gain the fame… and many more

One fine day, Manisha’s grandson introduced her to the brand new MotoE. Her grandson, Raj, explained her the unmatched feature of this so-called ‘phone’, which was much beyond just a phone. With this, she realized that ‘Better late and never..’ It’s time to #ChooseToStart living her dreams.
With the smartphone that she got gifted by Raj, she first thought of getting hands-on how to use the smartphone. With such user-friendly features of MotoE, it was within 2 days that Manisha was totally comfortable operating the phone.

With this development, Manisha #ChooseToStart with her dream of publishing her recipes. This idea came to her mind, as since her childhood days she has been appreciated and applauded on her cooking skills and the delicious cuisines she serves.

She started off by creating a blog, where she could make a bank of all the recipes she had. She was posting one recipe everyday with pictures of her yummy dishes from her smartphone camera. Within a week, she had more than 1000 followers. Some of the followers from her blog started demanding cooking classes. Most of her followers were from big cities and she resided in a small town, hence to break this distance barrier, Manisha started taking online cooking classes through her smartphone MotoE. Within a month, she has more than 100 students !

Manisha's blog

With this blog and online classes, she got so much attention that she became famous in the country. Today, Manisha is a renowed chef. You can read her recipes over blog, you tube videos, join her classes online, etc. This has all been possible via smartphone MotoE, as Manisha #ChooseToStart.
Now, the next move that Manisha is planning, is to the live her other dreams and she is very confident that with a dream and the thirst to live that dream, one can fulfill whatever s/he wants.

Hence, I would strongly recommend that you should #ChooseToStart living your dreams. Life is too short to let it go ‘just like that’. Manisha #ChooseToStart with MotoE, what about you?

Open Happines, Spread Happiness!

Happiness is nothing but one’s state of mind and happiness to me means…

Being in a happy state of mind
Being calm
Being cheerful
Being all smileys
Being with the feeling of excitement
Being motivated
Being together
Being ME !!

.. and all such state of mind is achieved from ‘small’ little things in life.. Things like..

A morning hug
That special chai
Sundays with no alarms
Beach walk
The suspense in movie’s climax
A day long shopping
The sunset from room
An unplanned holiday
The nonsensical fight with your beloved
One chip in the packet with 4 hands.. the last slice of pizza
The melting chocolate
The tub full of ice cream
Those nicknames by friends
The pranks and the laughter thereafter
.. and I can go on and on..

So, what makes me “happy” ?

Happiness for me is spending time with my love my wife, seeing smile on her face, doing things together, seeing her sleep peacefully after a hard day’s work.

Happiness is seeing my love’s teary eyes after having spicy goal-gappas and her wish to have one more :)

Happiness is her expressions when I surprise her with a red rose without any occasion, walking together hand in hand, a long drive …..

Happiness is dancing together, singing together in our woeful voices, fighting with each other and then cuddling to make up with each other.

Happiness is sitting down on the beach watching the sunset and remembering the time spent together, the first date, the first dinner, the first movie, the first holiday, the first kiss, the first of all the things done together…… Happiness is finding joy in every small thing in life I do with my love. Happiness is being together :)

Happiness is my kid. Though I am not a father yet, but the thought of those two little feet and two little hands, gives me goose-bumps. Re-living those childhood days with my bundle of joy, and playing with the junior me J Answering those silly unending questions which no longer seem silly. The mere thought of my kid gives me that ultimate happiness that I feel at the seventh heaven.

Happiness is spending time with your family and friends. Pulling each other’s leg, remembering those old times spent together. Happiness is in doing something for someone when it is not expected, bringing cheer in the life of people around you, be it - Guiding your maid’s child, asking about the wellbeing of your driver’s family or greeting your office boy. A small act of yours brings a sense of belongingness in them, which is by far more important than money. And the calmness on their face, their little smile makes me happy.

I strongly feel that the ultimate purpose of life is to be “Happy” !

Crabilicious Singapore !

Due to its strategic location in the South East Asian and with its multicultural heritage, Singapore serves up a true melting pot of flavours and foods. The country provides umpteen options to choose from the menu be it Chinese, Malay, Indian, English and / or many international cuisines. Not surprisingly, Singaporean literature declares eating as a national pastime and food, a national obsession. Food is a frequent topic of conversation among Singaporeans.

From so many options to choose from, one gets really confused as to what to eat and not to. Have tried a few of these cuisines over the years during my travel to Singapore the one particular dish which ranks very high amongst the many on offer is easily the “CHILLI CRAB”. Chilli Crab is probably the most popular of all crab dishes and is promoted by The Singapore Tourism Board as one of Singapore's National Dishes.

Chilli Crab is available in a number of versions ranging from the spicy version to the milder version / sweeter form of Chilli Crab. Chilli crab sauce is described as "sensuous" and "sweet, yet savoury", with a "fluffy texture".  Mud crabs are the most common type of crabs used for the dish, although other species of crab can be used too. The crab is served with crusty bread, steamed buns or steamed rice.

I love crabs and like most Indians am fond of spices. Of all the types of Chilli crabs, my personal favourite is the spicy version of ‘Chilli Crab’ served with deep fried buns, especially the ones served by ‘Far East Hospitality

The crab in itself with its very juicy and fresh flesh is excellent, however the impeccable combination of spiciness, sweetness and saltiness of the gravy adds to the taste of the crab making it a must have dish in Singapore.

Mind you, the best way to eat Chilli Crab is using your hand, but bear in mind that it may leave you a little messy. Restaurants often provide wet towels or a washing bowls with lime in order to cleanse your hands after the meal. Some of them even provide gloves for eating this dish but I feel using the gloves for eating Chilli Crab is like insulting the dish itself.

So eat the spicy Chilli Crab, get messy and savour the fun of Singapore’s National Dish.
